Apple & Cinnamon Baked Protein Oats

As the mornings get cooler, there’s nothing like a comforting, warm breakfast option to start your day! That’s when we turn to baked oats. Let’s face it, apple and cinnamon are an unbeatable combination! Adding Tasteless Protein by Feel Good Protein makes it even better, creating a high-protein breakfast that is simply fantastic. Let us walk you through how to make it!

Ingredients

1 cup traditional rolled oats
1 cup almond milk (use whatever milk you prefer but please note, the macros will change depending on your choice)
¼ cup sugar-free maple syrup (we used vanilla flavoured)
1 tbsp coconut oil
1 tsp baking powder
½ tsp nutmeg
1 tsp cinnamon
1 egg
A pinch of salt
2 scoops of Tasteless Protein by Feel Good Protein
2 tbsp flax seeds roughly crushed
1 pink lady apple cut and cubed
Optional: A few slices of unsweetened tinned pink lady apples to garnish

Method

1. Pre-heat your oven to 180C.

2. Prepare a small baking dish with either baking paper or cooking spray so that the oats don’t stick.

3. Inside a medium-sized bowl, add the rolled oats, almond milk, sugar free maple syrup, coconut oil, baking powder, cinnamon, and nutmeg, one egg, pinches of salt, and Tasteless Protein by Feel Good Protein. 

4. Give the mixture a mix.

Optional: If you want a cake consistency, you can blend the ingredients in a blender cup and bake for approximately 30 minutes. However, we retain its texture for this recipe.

5. Crush some flax seeds, add them to your mixture and mix them through.

6. Add in your cubes of apple.

Optional: You can leave out half the cut apples for decor or a pleasing pattern on top of your oats.

7. Pour the mixture into your baking dish and bake for 30 minutes.

8. Remove from the oven and enjoy the Apple & Cinnamon Baked Protein Oats. If you wish, you can serve the dish with your favourite yoghurt and a drizzle of maple syrup (optional).
