Warm, cosy and full of festive flavour, this spiced gingerbread mug cake is the ultimate comfort dessert (or breakfast treat, we don’t judge). Sweet cinnamon apples on top of a soft, protein-packed gingerbread base. Perfect for when you want something indulgent, but still macro-friendly and high in protein.
Ingredients
½ green apple, thinly sliced
1 scoop Whey Protein by Feel Good Protein (Gingerbread Cookie)
1 tbsp butter, melted
2 tbsp Greek yoghurt
1 egg
Âľ cup Bread In A Mug by Get Ya Yum On (Ginger Spice)
½ tsp cinnamon sugar
Method
- Preheat oven to 180°C and lightly grease two small ramekins.
- Thinly slice the apple and set it aside.
- In a mixing bowl, combine Bread In A Mug by Get Ya Yum On with the whey protein.
- Add the melted butter, Greek yoghurt, and egg. Mix until the batter is smooth.
- Divide the batter evenly between the ramekins.
- Arrange the apple slices on top.
- Bake for 18 minutes, or until golden and just set in the centre.
- Serve warm, with a sprinkle of cinnamon or a dollop of Greek yoghurt. Enjoy your Spiced Gingerbread Mug Cake!
