Chocolate Protein Donuts

Ingredients

 2/3 cup rolled oats
4 scoops Tasteless Protein by Feel Good Protein
1 mashed banana
3 egg whites
1 egg
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1/4 cup Truvia Sugar Replacement
1/4 cup fat-free greek yoghurt
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp baking powder

To decorate:
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1 tsp coconut oil
Strawberry Frisps

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degree if using a baking tray. Alternatively, preheat mini donut maker.
  2. In a food processor or blender, grind rolled oats into a fine powder to make oat flour.
  3. Pour oat flour into a bowl.
  4. Add the mashed banana and combine with the oat flour.
  5. Add the Truvia Sugar Replacement, Tasteless Protein by Feel Good Protein, cocoa powder, Greek yoghurt, egg whites, egg, vanilla extract and baking powder. Stir well to combine.
  6. Add the mixture to a piping bag. Carefully add the mixture to the doughnut maker. Alternatively, create doughnut shapes on a baking tray.
  7. Bake for 15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  8. Allow doughnuts to cool before removing them.
  9. Melt the chocolate chips in the microwave for 30 seconds, stirring halfway through. Remove from the microwave and stir in coconut oil.
  10. Decorate the donut by dipping the top into the melted chocolate. Sprinkle with your favourite toppings. We used chopped nuts and strawberry frisps.
  11. Refrigerate the donuts to allow the glaze to harden and enjoy your Chocolate Protein Donuts!
