These Mocha Protein Waffles are a delicious way to start your day! They combine the comforting warmth of coffee with the decadent richness of chocolate, all while providing plenty of protein to help you meet your daily goals. The batter is incredibly easy to make and packed with amazing ingredients. Just pour it into your waffle maker and let it work its magic!
Ingredients
2 scoops Whey Protein by Feel Good Protein (Vanilla Ice Cream)
2 tbsp Bread In A Mug by Get Ya Yum On (English Muffin)
2 tsp cocoa powder
2 tsp instant coffee granules
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 eggs
4 tbsp greek yoghurt
2 tbsp milk (use your milk of choice)
Optional extras: Pinch of cinnamon or a few sugar-free choc chips
Method
- Preheat your waffle maker. Spray it with olive oil spray or brush with coconut oil.
- In a bowl, mix the Whey Protein, Bread In A Mug, cocoa powder, coffee, baking powder, choc chips and cinnamon if using.
- Crack in the eggs, spoon in the yoghurt, pour in the milk and vanilla extract.
- Stir it all together until you’ve got a thick, smooth batter. Let it sit for a minute.
- Pour the batter into the waffle maker (about 2 tbsp per mini waffle), close the lid, and cook for 3 to 4 minutes or until golden and set. Each waffle should lift out easily and hold its shape.
- Serve warm with any additional toppings. Store in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze them, placing a piece of baking paper between each one. Enjoy your Mocha Protein Waffles!
