Try our Tortilla Meatballs recipe – a family favourite that is sure to impress! Unlike traditional meatball recipes, we’ve added tortilla chips for a crunchy texture and Tasteless Protein for an extra protein boost. These meatballs are perfect for meal prep: make them ahead of time, freeze them, and enjoy a quick and easy meal whenever you need. Enjoy them as a stand-alone snack, or use them to add a protein hit to your salad jars, pasta, or wraps.
Ingredients
500g minced beef
Mingle Mild Taco Seasoning Sachet
1 bunch fresh mixed herbs (we used Basil and Flat Leaf Parsley)
1 tablespoon Mixed Dried Herbs
2 tablespoons Pimp My Salad Cashew Parm Cheez
3 scoops Tasteless Protein by Feel Good Protein
1 cup Mission Tortilla Chips
Method
1. Pre-heat your Air Fryer or Oven to 200 C for 10 minutes.
2. Finely chop herbs.
3. In a large bowl, add the minced beef, Mingle Mild Taco Seasoning, Mixed Dried Herbs, Cashew Parm Cheez, and Tasteless Protein by Feel Good Protein. Mix until everything is very well combined.
4. In a separate bowl, crush the tortilla chips until you have made crumbs and set them to the side.
5. Roll the mince mixture into balls, then roll each into the tortilla chip crumbs.
6. Place them on a baking tray lined with greaseproof paper.
7. Place into your Air Fryer or Oven and cook at 200C for 12-14 minutes or until the meatballs become toasty brown and completely cooked through.
8. Serve with a delicious salad and your choices of sauces or dips to accompany them.
