Jelly slice is a fun family favourite and evokes great childhood memories! This version of Feel Good Protein Jelly Slice is bariatric friendly and low in carbs. By using our Feel Good Protein Jelly and Tasteless Protein, you can be sure that this fun and delicious treat is high in protein!
We use a unique Sugar Free Protein Condensed Milk in this recipe that you can also add Tasteless Protein to as well.
Ingredients
1 packet Feel Good Protein Jelly (whichever flavour you prefer)
2 Cups Almond flour
½ cup Whole Earth Brown Sugar Replacement
80 g melted butter
85g boiling water
5 tsp powdered gelatine (split into 3 and 2 tsp amounts)
3 Scoops Tasteless Protein by Feel Good Protein
1 ½ cups condensed milk (sugar free protein condensed milk)
80 ml lemon juice
Method
Jelly Layer
Make up your Feel Good Protein Jelly by adding one packet of Jelly Crystals, 2 teaspoons of edible gelatine and your boiling water to a jug and stir until this is totally combined and all everything is thoroughly dissolved.
Set this aside and allow to cool.
Base Layer
To form your base layer, in a large bowl combine Almond Flour, Whole Earth Brown Sugar Replacement and Melted Butter together in a bowl.
Once combined turn this out into either a lined or sprayed square dish and put it into the refrigerator to set.
Lemon Layer
Into a small bowl measure 85 grams of boiled water and add 3 teaspoons of gelatine and 3 scoops of Tasteless Protein.
Mix this until everything is dissolved.
To a large bowl add your Sugar Free Protein Condensed Milk, 80 mls of lemon juice and the 3 teaspoons of gelatine.
Whisk this mixture thoroughly until it is all well combined.
Assembly
Remove the base layer from the fridge and top it with your lemon layer and then refrigerate until the lemon layer is set.
Once the lemon layer is set, pour the pre cooled Jelly layer over the top and return to the fridge for 3 or 4 hours before serving!
