Heart Shaped Valentine’s Waffles

Ingredients

1 cup Vetta Smart flour
2 scoops of Tasteless Protein by Feel Good Protein
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon bicarb soda
1 cup milk (dairy or plant-based)
1/4 cup vegetable oil 
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 large eggs

Method

1. Firstly, preheat your waffle iron according to its instructions.

2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, Tasteless Protein, sugar, baking powder and Bicarb Soda.

3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, vegetable oil, vanilla extract and eggs until everything is well combined.

4. Then, pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir just enough . Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are okay.

5. Lightly grease the waffle iron with cooking spray or a small amount of oil.

6. Next, pour the batter onto the preheated waffle iron, using the recommended amount for your specific waffle iron. Close the lid and cook until the waffles are golden brown and crispy.

7. Carefully remove the waffles from the iron and repeat with the remaining batter.

8. Serve the waffles warm with your favourite toppings such as fresh fruits, maple syrup, or a dollop of yogurt. Enjoy your tasty and nutritious Heart Shaped Valentine’s Waffles for breakfast (or anytime during the day or night).
