Comfort food has a new meaning with our easy, Meatloaf recipe. Made using Tasteless Protein and other wholesome ingredients, our Meatloaf is super high in protein while remaining juicy, tender and packed with flavour. It’s the perfect choice for quick and easy dinners or lunches that the whole family will enjoy.
Ingredients
1 medium onion diced
½ cup milk
1 egg
½ cup panko bread crumbs
1 teaspoon Parsley Flakes
1 teaspoon Garlic Ground
2 teaspoons Italian Herb Mix
1 kg beef mince
4 scoops Tasteless Protein by Feel Good Protein
2 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped
Salt and pepper to taste (if needed)
Non-stick cooking spray
Meatloaf Sauce
½ cup BBQ Sauce
2 tablespoons brown sugar substitute
Method
- Preheat the oven to 180°C
- Prepare a non-stick baking tray. We recommend using a baking tray rather than a baking dish for this recipe. This is so the meatloaf bakes rather than steams, allowing the meat to firm up evenly on all sides.
- In a small pan, cook onions in olive oil or butter with some water over medium-low heat until tender.
- In a jug, combine eggs, milk, breadcrumbs and herbs. Mix thoroughly. Let the mixture sit for 5-10 minutes.
- In a large bowl, mix the mince, cooked onions, and Tasteless Protein Powder.
- Add the egg mixture to the mince mixture and combine thoroughly.
- Wearing gloves, shape the meatloaf as desired and place it on your prepared tray.
- Bake the meatloaf for approximately 35 minutes.
- While baking, mix BBQ sauce and brown sugar substitute together.
- Remove the meatloaf from the oven, pour the sauce mixture over it, and bake for an additional 20 minutes.
- Serve with salad or traditional sides. Enjoy!
