Conjure up some culinary magic with our Spooktacular Ghost Meatloaf. Whether you’re hosting a Halloween party or simply looking to bring some festive fun to the dinner table, this dish is not only easy to prepare but also packed with protein and minimal carbs. Combining the savoury umami flavours with gooey mozzarella and a touch of sweetness from no-sugar maple syrup, these charming ghostly figures are delightful to eat as much as they are to look at.
Ingredients
500 grams Lean Beef Mince
1/2 cup Quick Rolled Oats
1 tablespoon Mingle Everything Umami Seasoned Salt
1 tablespoon Soy Sauce
3 scoops Tasteless Protein by Feel Good Protein
1 cup Tomato Passata
1/2 cup Sugar-free Maple Syrup
12 Mozzarella Slices
Method
1. Preheat oven to 180C and allow to come up to temperature.
2. In a bowl, combine the Lean Beef Mince, Rolled Oats, Mingle Everything Umami Seasoned Salt, Soy Sauce, and Tasteless Protein by Feel Good Protein. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well combined. Set aside.
Note – We used food grade gloves and mixed the meat mixture until the ingredients were perfectly combined.
3. Into your baking dish, pour 1 cup of Tomato Passata (or enough to coat the base of the dish) and the sugar-free maple syrup. Mix them well.
4. Returning to the meatloaf mixture, create little cone shapes with rounded tops.
5. Place them into the passata and maple syrup mixture.
6. Bake in the oven for 20 minutes or until your little cones are cooked through and turn the oven off.
7. Remove the dish from the oven and place two slices of mozzarella cheese over each meatloaf cone.
8. Place the dish back in the oven and let it sit for 2-4 minutes, or until the cheese has melted and fully covers the meatloaf cones. Keep an eye on it and decide when it’s melted to your liking. We do this without turning the oven back on to avoid thinning the cheese too much on top of the “ghosts”.
9. Create ghoulish faces on your ghosts by using a skewer or toothpick or the blade of a sharp knife,
10. Serve the Spooktacular Ghost Meatloaf and enjoy!
