Hot Cross Bun Protein Balls

Who doesn’t love a fun Easter treat!  Chocolatey, rich, and incredibly easy to make, these no-bake Hot Cross Bun Protein Balls are perfect to keep in the fridge when you want something sweet while adding a little extra protein to your holiday. 

Ingredients

Method

  1. Add whey protein, almond flour, tasteless fibre, tasteless protein, chocolate chips and chocolate slice mix to a bowl and stir to combine. 
  2. Pour 40ml water into the dry mixture and stir until it forms a cookie dough consistency. 
  3. Use your hands to roll a tablespoon sized amount of dough into a ball and place it on a plate. Repeat to make 9 protein balls.
  4. To make the icing for the crosses, mix the icing powder with 20ml water until dissolved. 
  5. Spoon the icing into a ziplock bag, cut off a bottom corner and pipe crosses onto each protein ball. 
  6. Enjoy your Hot Cross Bun Protein Balls!
