Our Protein Rum Balls is the quintessential Christmas snack recipe – they look festive, high in protein and most importantly these rum balls taste fantastic too.

Perfect size nibble and glorious in the mouth, these rum balls can add some extra cheer to everyone around the table – so don’t let yourself past this recipe without a try!

Ingredients

200 grams plain biscuits such as arrowroot
6 scoops of Tasteless Protein by Feel Good Protein
¼ cup Vanilla Almond Milk
½ cup Sugar Free Maple Syrup
¾ cup Truvia icing mixture
½ cup almond meal
1 cup (80g) desiccated coconut
1/4 cup (25g) coco powder
40ml rum essence

Method

Into your food processor, place the biscuits and Tasteless Protein, then pulse to blend the biscuits into a crumb texture.

Then, add in the coconut and pulse again and add the coco powder.

Add in your wet ingredients and pulse the food processor.

Add in the Truvia icing mixture and almond meal and give one final pulse. Now, the texture should be fudge like!

Scoop the mixture from the food processor into a lined brownie dish and allow to chill in the refrigerator for 2 hours.

Once the mixture for the Protein Rum Balls has firmed up, roll into balls, top with coconut and serve immediately (or keep refrigerated). Enjoy!

Note: This recipe can be made by hand, in a bowl, without a food processor but you will need to place the biscuits into a bag and crush them up with a rolling pin first.
