Non-Alcoholic Mulled Wine with Protein

Non Alcoholic Mulled Wine with Tasteless Protein

When Christmas comes to town we roll out the Mulled Wine. Carols playing, Christmas treats baking and a pot of this on the go makes those beautiful evenings leading up to the big day so special! This recipe is a slight departure from its boozy cousin but is still an absolute winner, low in calories and big in taste. Try our Non-Alcoholic Mulled Wine with Protein.

A hot tip to make this recipe just perfect is to sweeten your mulled wine to your taste. We use Rice Malt syrup and we find this is just perfect if we use just under ¼ of a cup per bottle of wine that is added. You may like yours sweeter so try as you go is what we suggest.

Another tip to make your mulled wine perfect is to watch it closely and use a low heat! We don’t want to create a sizzling, syrupy mess so keeping things on a low heat until the aromatic spices are filling the air and your wine is nice and hot is just perfect!

Ingredients

1 Bottle of Alcohol free, low sugar red wine (Hardy’s Shiraz)
250 mls Orange juice
4 scoops Tasteless Protein by Feel Good Protein
¼ cup Rice Malt Syrup
1 Orange sliced
5 Cloves
5 Star Anise
3 Cinnamon Sticks
½ cup low sugar dried Cranberries

Method

Into a large saucepan or slow cooker pour your wine.

Add to that pan, one gorgeous, juicy orange sliced.

On top of those ingredients add in 4 scoops of Tasteless Protein.

And pour in the Rice Malt Syrup.

Fire up the stove and gently and slowly heat the mixture.

Add in the Cloves, Star Anise and Cinnamon Sticks in no particular order.

Continue simmering the wine until you are happy with the temperature and taste and then serve immediately and enjoy!
