For all coffee and tea drinkers, our Spiced Pumpkin Protein Latte is for you! It’s delicious, easy to make and packs a protein punch to help you stay on track with your macro goals. We also provide instructions (below) on how to create the perfect pumpkin puree if you’d like to enjoy it separately.
Ingredients
1 Double shot espresso
250ml Vanilla Almond Milk (or your milk of choice)
2 Scoops Tasteless Protein by Feel Good Protein
2 Tbsp Pumpkin Puree (we make our own and will include the recipe for you as an extra bonus!)
1 tsp Ground Cinnamon
½ tsp Ground Nutmeg
1 tbsp Sugar Free Maple Syrup
*1 teaspoon vanilla extract only if you do not use Vanilla Almond Milk
Method
1. In a saucepan on the stove, create a milk mixture: add one cup of your preferred milk, two scoops of Tasteless Protein, 2 tbsp pumpkin puree, ground cinnamon and nutmeg to taste and 1 tbsp of sugar free maple syrup.
2. Then, heat the milk mixture and stir continuously until it begins to simmer. We like to use a little milk frother at this point to ensure everything is mixed well!
3. Once the mixture is piping hot and you have a shot of coffee into your serving glass, pour in the milk mixture.
4. Using the milk frother (electric whisk), mix again and then top with your desired garnishes
5. Enjoy the Spiced Pumpkin Protein Latte!
Pumpkin Puree Instructions
1. First, roast 1 cup of pumpkin (or add more if desired). Be sure to remove the skin.
2. Into a blender, add the pumpkin flesh, ¼ cup of water, ¼ cup sugar free maple syrup, 1 tsp vanilla extract, 1 tsp cinnamon and 1 tsp nutmeg.
3. Blend until smoothly pureed.
Optional: You can include 2 scoops of Tasteless Protein for an additional protein kick, but is not necessary!
4. Store this in the freezer. This will freeze really well and can be eaten on puree stage post bariatric surgery. Incorporate this into soups and casseroles apart from your pumpkin latte!
