Recreate the iconic Ekka Strawberry Sundae at home with this high protein Ninja CREAMi recipe.
Featuring layers of creamy vanilla and strawberry protein ice cream, fresh strawberries, and whipped cream, this healthier twist on Queensland’s favourite showtime treat delivers all the nostalgic flavour with a protein-packed upgrade!
Note: We recommend using a Ninja CREAMi to achieve the best texture and consistency for this recipe.
Ingredients
- 2 scoops Whey Protein by Feel Good Protein (Vanilla Ice Cream)
- 2 scoops Whey Protein by Feel Good Protein (Strawberry Jam)
- 8 gluten free waffle cones
- ½ cup thickened cream
- 600ml full cream milk
- ½ cup agave syrup
- 16 fresh strawberries

Method
- Divide the milk, thickened cream, and agave syrup evenly between two Ninja CREAMi tubs.
- Add the Vanilla Ice Cream Whey Protein to one tub and the Strawberry Jam Whey Protein to the second tub.
- Whisk each mixture until smooth and fully combined.
- Cover both tubs and freeze for 24 hours.
- Once frozen, dice the fresh strawberries and set aside.
- Remove the tubs from the freezer. Process each tub in the Ninja CREAMi using the ice cream setting.
- To assemble each sundae cone, layer a scoop of vanilla ice cream, fresh strawberries, then a scoop of strawberry ice cream on top.
- Top with whipped cream and additional fresh strawberries to your preference.
