Introducing Our New HQ: A New Era for Cost Price Supplements

From packing parcels in a kitchen to a brand-new purpose-built HQ, Cost Price Supplements (CPS) has come a long way. What started as a simple idea – to make quality supplements more affordable and accessible – has grown into a thriving business with a passionate team, loyal customers and a strong community!

Over the years, we’ve launched new products, welcomed new faces into the team and achieved some pretty big milestones. And now, we’re ticking off one of our biggest yet! Moving into our brand-new warehouse and office space! This move isn’t just about the extra storage space (though trust us, we’ll take it!) It’s about growth, innovation and setting ourselves up for an even bigger and brighter future.

The Beginning of Cost Price Supplements

Sometimes life has a way of nudging you in a completely new direction. For Chris, that nudge came at 25, when he suddenly lost his job as a Cost Planner after his company was bought out. Years of study and hard work felt like they had vanished overnight.

But one thing was certain. He loved health and fitness, and he wanted to build a life around something he was passionate about. With the little savings he had, Chris decided to open a small retail store. This small store became House of Supplements, and it would mark the start of something much bigger.

“I almost didn’t have enough to open the store, but my grandma saw this and gave me the little savings she had – not because she knew about supplements, but because she loved me and believed in me. She’s the reason I got the chance to chase my dream. I miss her dearly and wish she could see how far the business has come. I hope she’s proud.”

After 18 months of success, Chris had another idea. Why not bring supplements to even more people at prices that don’t break the bank? And that’s when he created Cost Price Supplements (CPS). At first, every online order was packed and shipped straight from the retail store. And that continued until it completely outgrew the space in 2021.

Launch of Protein Perfection

Every great product has a story, and Protein Perfection is no exception. Chris had a loyal following of customers within the Bariatric and Weight Loss Surgery community who regularly came into the HOS store. They loved a particular protein supplement that he was selling on CPS until the brand changed its formula. Let’s just say the community wasn’t impressed with the updated product.

Rather than letting the disappointment linger, Chris saw an opportunity. He worked closely with these customers, gathering their feedback and understanding exactly what they wanted. From those conversations, Protein Perfection was born, a product designed hand-in-hand with the very community that inspired it.

Launched in April 2017, Protein Perfection quickly became a favourite, not just at HOS and CPS, but across the wider Weight Loss Surgery community. This experience also sparked Chris’s journey into creating products specifically for these patients. From the beginning, his approach has been about collaboration, listening to customers, and putting their needs first.

The Feel Good Protein Era

By January 2019, Chris knew it was time for an upgrade. Food technology had come a long way, and with it came the chance to create something better. That’s when Feel Good Protein Water was born, setting a new standard in the market for taste, clarity, and quality for protein waters.

Just a few months later, in August 2019, Chris launched the very first (and still the favourite) Tasteless Protein. After spending over two years working closely with the weight loss surgery community, he understood their challenges. Getting enough protein after surgery is essential for recovery, but with smaller appetites, it’s not always easy. That’s why he developed Tasteless Protein Collagen, something you can add to almost anything without changing the taste or texture. And it didn’t just help that community; it quickly became a go-to for anyone wanting an easy protein boost.

And from there… we didn’t stop! The Tasteless Range has grown to include Tasteless Fibre, Tasteless Probiotics, Tasteless Whey, Tasteless Minerals, and even Tasteless Protein for Kids. The Feel Good Protein brand has also expanded to offer Whey Protein, Meal Replacement Shakes, Protein Jelly, Sleeptime, and a bunch of accessories. All made with our community in mind.

Growth and New Warehouse

With business booming, it wasn’t long before CPS had completely outgrown the little storage space tucked away in the HOS store. In March 2021, CPS finally moved into a place of its own, in Morningside, Brisbane. Over the next four years, the team grew, production kicked off, and the space itself quickly expanded, from 700m2 to 1200m2 in under a year.

But growth never slowed down. Within just two years of being in Morningside, we were already bursting at the seams again. That’s when Chris knew it was time to dream bigger and find somewhere that would become CPS HQ.

The Road to CPS HQ

From the first idea to actually moving in, it’s been three years in the making. Three long years of searching for the perfect home for our products, and more importantly, our team.

Chris wasn’t about to settle for “good enough.” He wanted a space that truly reflected the company’s vision. Somewhere, our team would feel inspired every time they walked through the doors. And so, every detail was carefully considered. No corners were cut. He worked side by side with the interior designer, personally curating every finish. If it went into the building, you can bet Chris had his eye on it. A HQ that’s not just bigger – it’s better in every way.

Storage has almost doubled, jumping from 600 to 1100 pallets. The warehouse now towers at 12 metres high instead of 8. But beyond the numbers, it’s about creating a place that feels special. A place the team is proud to work in, and a place that feels like home. Chris had a simple vision: to build something beautiful inside and out, with no sacrifices. And that’s exactly what he’s done.

Moving into Our Brand-New HQ

Looking back at how far we’ve come makes this moment feel surreal. After months (okay, years) of waiting, planning, and anticipation, stepping into our brand-new headquarters feels like a dream come true.

CPS now operates from a purpose-built waterfront building, complete with a warehouse, distribution area, spacious office, 12-seater boardroom, multiple meeting spaces, a balcony with a view, and LED lighting that makes everything look just that bit cooler.

It’s more than just a new space. It’s a symbol of how far CPS has come, from a small retail store to a thriving company with a clear vision for the future. And now, with the tools, space, and team we have, we’re ready to take things to the next level.
